Other website - 00:00' 07/06/2006 (GMT+7)

On June 4, more than 600 Chinese and Vietnamese teenagers co-held a programme on drug prevention communication and education for teenagers in the two countries in Guangxi Autonomous Region of China.

After taking an oath at the Friendship border gate that showed their determination to curb drugs in the two countries, the voluntary teenagers from China and Vietnam began to communicate and teach about drug prevention in the some cities and Friendship border gate.

The Guangxi Autonomous Region and the youth unions in Lang Son and Cao Bang provinces are working together to carry out voluntary activities on drug prevention in 2006 and 2007.

The purpose of the campaign is to get teenagers to “say no to narcotics”, protect the healthy growth of youth, prevent the spread of narcotics in society and turn the Vietnam-China border regions and gates into regions without narcotics.

The campaign also includes a painting contest on drug prevention and choosing a person as a representative for drug prevention campaign.
